2015	At the first KADINVEST in Kaduna, Kian Smith announced the discovery of Nickel mineralisation in Kaduna State.
2018	Kian Smith announced the discovery of 15,000 tonnes of lithium in Northern Nigeria -fore running the critical minerals rush in Nigeria. Yet, mineral exploration for critical minerals remains largely unfunded and considered high risk.
2020	Anka Metals was developed to de-risk mineral exploration for investors with innovative funding models and utilizing technology towards data acquisition and early-stage exploration.
2025	The discovery of Gold, Copper, Nickel & Lithium mineralisation in Kaduna State during small scale tin mining and exploration. This discovery was made by Kian Smith for the KMDC & Anka Metals JV.
